Dr. Bruno joined the Pittsburgh Premier team as our managing veterinarian at the end of 2021. Dr. Bruno graduated Magna Cum Lauda from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, after completing her clinical rotation at North Carolina College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the Veterinary Medical Honor Society. Additionally, Dr. Bruno was honored by her veterinary school with awards for excellence and clinical proficiency in emergency and critical care medicine as well as outstanding emergency student service participant. After graduation Dr. Bruno obtained an internship at a specialty and referral hospital in New York. Following her internship Dr. Bruno returned to her native Pittsburgh, and began working as an emergency veterinarian. Dr. Bruno continued to work as an emergency veterinarian at local referral centers for the next eight years. She helped grow several emergency centers by creating blood donor and blood banking services. Due to the growth of her family, Dr. Bruno transitioned to a general practice veterinarian in 2019. 

Dr. Bruno has special interests in general soft tissue surgery, transfusion medicine, and critical care. 

Dr. Bruno enjoys spending time with her children in and around Pittsburgh at various museums, arts and crafts shows, and live entertainment.
