Nyajah began her career in veterinary medicine as a part of our team at Pittsburgh Premier Veterinary Care in April 2021. She completed her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from The Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh and is currently a Veterinary Assistant studying for her VTNE to become a credentialed Veterinary Technician.
Nya’s greatest attributes are her sincerity, patience and willingness to go above and beyond for our patients who need it most. She provides positive reinforcements and fear-free practices to establish healthy and trustworthy relationships for our friends who are unsure about doctors visits and need encouragement to know that this is a safe place.
When she is not caring for other people’s pets, Nyajah enjoys listening to music and stimulates her artistic side with punch-needling to make beautiful rugs and coasters. She is the proud fur mama of a handsome Pit Bull/Labrador Retriever mix named Takoda (a Siou name meaning “a friend to everyone”). Her favorite part about working in veterinary medicine is providing care and support for animals that are not feeling great and seeing them get better.
