Dr. Sprague grew up on a family farm in the village of Harrisonville, PA. It was here where he fostered a passion and love for helping animals, which led to his aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Robert Morris University in Moon Township, PA in 2021 and his Doctrine of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine earlier this year.

During Dr. Sprague’s time at veterinary school, he has gained interest in the areas of cardiology, soft tissue surgical procedures, emergency and critical care. Most importantly, he cares about establishing honest, lasting relationships with his clients and patients. Dr. Sprague received his Fear Free Certification during his time at school. Because of this, he prioritizes making each veterinary visit a positive and stress-free experience for both his furry patients and their families. 

When he is not at the clinic, you’d have luck finding him either on one of the local golf courses, nerding out over some video games, enjoying his 5th coffee of the day, or sitting on his back porch with his significant other and their two Black Labs, Stevie and Marci. Dr. Sprague is excited and honored to take on the adventures of being a veterinarian, and to be part of the Pittsburgh Premier Veterinary Care community.
